The cast of the 2023 Benjamin House Holiday Benefit, Don’t Let Christmas Pass You By, Vol. 2, includes Broadway and Cabaret legends Karen Akers (Grand Hotel, Tony Nominee for Nine), Marta Sanders (Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, “MAC” Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient), Eric Michael Gillett (Kiss Me Kate, The Frogs, Sweet Smell of Success, 6 time MAC Award recipient in various categories including Major Male Celebrity, Outstanding Vocalist, and Director), and Cabaret favorite Aaron Lee Battle (MAC Hanson Award Recipient). The evening celebrates the good work being done at Benjamin House, a residential home helping the adult mentally challenged with life, and an organization whose outreach programs support services throughout the Elizabeth City, NC community. The show, which pre-pandemic was performed live both in NYC and in Elizabeth City, will be live-streamed from New York City, this year from the Triad Theater. For the 4th year in a row, the show will be available on demand after its initial livestream and it all starts Saturday, Dec 17th at 7PM ET. It will then be available on demand through January 1, 2024. It’s always an event filled with the joy of the season and thanks to technology, you can join in the celebration right from the comfort of your own home. Musical directions is by Mike Pettry (Documentarn Now-Original Cast Album: Co-Op, Associate Conductor Broadway’s A Strange Loop). Don’t miss this heartfelt, hopeful and heartwarming tribute to the season and celebration of the many residents of Benjamin House.
